Platform Terms
How RightMatch works, what participants promise, and where responsibility sits.
1. RightMatch is the platform layer
RightMatch helps verified people discover vehicles, exchange booking requests, record terms, preserve handover evidence and maintain a deal history. The vehicle rental remains a direct agreement between the owner and renter.
RightMatch does not own listed vehicles, drive them, inspect every mechanical component, provide insurance, or guarantee either party’s future conduct.
2. Eligibility and truthful information
- Participants must be legally capable of entering the transaction and provide current, truthful information.
- Renters must hold the licence and permissions required for the vehicle and intended use.
- Owners must have authority to list the vehicle and disclose any finance, insurance or use restriction that affects the rental.
- Verification may be repeated, suspended or withdrawn when evidence expires or concerns arise.
3. Owner responsibilities
Owners remain responsible for lawful ownership or authority, valid registration and licensing, roadworthiness, honest condition disclosure, agreed availability and explaining material restrictions. Owners must not list a vehicle that is unsafe, unlawfully operated or prohibited by an insurer or finance agreement.
4. Renter responsibilities
Renters must use the vehicle only for the agreed lawful purpose, follow licence and road rules, protect keys and documents, report incidents promptly, avoid unauthorised drivers and return the vehicle at the agreed time, place, fuel level and condition.
5. Booking, price, deposit and cancellation
A request is not a confirmed rental until the owner accepts and both participants acknowledge the recorded terms. All charges, deposits, permitted deductions, cancellation conditions and payment methods must be visible before acceptance. RightMatch currently records payment and deposit events; it does not represent itself as holding client funds.
6. Evidence and electronic records
Participants agree that account events, consent receipts, messages, agreement versions, timestamps, payment records and handover evidence may form the operational paper trail. A platform record supports accountability but does not make every submitted statement true.
7. Incidents, support and disputes
Safety comes first. Participants must stop using an unsafe vehicle, contact appropriate emergency or public services where necessary, preserve evidence and notify the other party and RightMatch. Support may organise records and communication but does not replace police, insurers, courts, medical assistance or professional advice.
8. Restrictions and enforcement
Fraud, impersonation, document manipulation, unsafe listings, harassment, unlawful use, off-platform evasion of agreed obligations and interference with evidence are prohibited. RightMatch may pause listings or accounts, request further proof and preserve required records while a matter is reviewed.
9. Allocation of risk
Each participant decides whether a proposed deal is suitable and accepts the ordinary risks attached to private vehicle use and rental. Any limitation or exclusion of RightMatch liability remains subject to applicable Namibian law and must be approved by counsel before launch.
